During a recent 1-2-1 business coaching session with one of my long standing clients, I noticed her energy was slightly lower than normal, a few tasks had slipped and she is off track, she just seemed different.
Now I am sat in front of a driven client, she knows where she is going and exactly how she is going to get there, it’s all mapped out in the 90 day plan we did together.
Yet she’s off track
I probbed further into the underlying issue – what surfaced is realy interesting;
She knew WHERE she was heading She knew WHAT she had to do to get there
She had clarity of HOW she was to do the stuff that needed to be done.
Yet it wasn’t getting DONE!
What is missing is her MOTIVATION…
She had got so overwhelmed with WHAT & HOW she had lost sight of WHY she is heading where she is heading.
Motivation comes from WHY…
…Why did she go into business in the first place
…Why head in the direction she is heading (what’s the purpose)
So the task for this week is to relight the spark, find the motivation and get clear on WHY.
Why did you enter into business – are you achieving that?
Does it motivate you to take the actions daily to achieve your goals?
So, where does your motivation come from?
